Appointments

Due to the ongoing Covid19 situation the many of our appointments are being carried out over the telephone. The clinical team will make contact you over the phone  prioritising the clinical needs of the patients  on their list and arrange for you to attend the surgery if it required. The number of face to face appointments are increasing and some can now be booked directly by calling reception. 

Please call the surgery to book an any appointment do not come to the surgery to do this.

Pre-Bookable Appointments

There are a few pre bookable appointments being reintroduced. The reception team have guidance on what can be booked in to these. Please help them by answering their questions.

Evening surgeries are being introduced where possible

Emergencies

Patients will be telephoned as soon as possible.  If you are experiencing chest pain or signs of a stroke (FAST) please call 999

Appointments with a Nurse or Healthcare Assistant

We are still carrying out nurse and healthcare assistant appointments. These appointments will be booked as required after an assessment over the telephone.

Appointments with a Nurse Practitioner

Nurse practitioner appointments are also being carried out over the telephone.  If it is deemed clinically necessary the nurse will arrange for you to attend the surgery.

What if I need a Blood Test?

If, after assessing you, the clinician feels that you need a blood test an appointment will be arranged for you to attend the surgery. Your will be screened with regards the appropriateness of this

Extended Access

Patients of our practice are now able to book routine appointments to be seen by doctors, nurses and healthcare assistants in the evenings and at weekends in Extended Access - a new service provided by West Cambs Federation.   This service is currently still available to all patients in this area seven days a week in sessions at four clinics:

 Acorn Surgery, Oak Drive, Huntingdon.

 Buckden Surgery, Mayfield. Buckden.

 Cornerstone Surgery, Elwyn Road, March.

 Cromwell Place Surgery, Cromwell Place, St. Ives.

 You can make an appointment at any of the sites - not just the one nearest to your home.
